Sungai Petani famous with a lot of malay food also. A lot of people likes baked fish which we call ikan bakar in malay. Dataran Ikan Bakar has been open in Sungai Petani for long time and a lot of people in Sungai Petani like to go there.

woot…dataran ikan bakar, i just had it today!!
quite nice food, and i love to go there…but its just too freaking dirty for most people
especially the river beside it, the sungai petani is just awesome
